In 1988, a small enthusiastic group of western performance competitors got together and decided that the local area was in need of a forum for their chosen interest. On 17th January 1989, the Gunalda & Districts Western Performance Club was formed. It was then, and is now, only a small club with a solid core of hard-working members - the secret to its success. Well over twenty years has passed since its formation and the club is still offering its members (and other western performance enthusiasts) training clinics and many shows a year, including the prestigious GDWPC All Breeds Championships.
The Club is proud to provide a welcoming, friendly environment in which to train and show western performance horses at the Nambour Showgrounds, Equestrian Centre, Crusher Park Road, Nambour, Queensland.
The Club is a proud affiliate of the AQHA.
